So here they are. A few pictures of the new house for you friends and family who live so far away that it will be months (years??) before you're here in person. I want you to know how hard it was for me to take pictures of the interior before I have done what I want to do....you know, paint, pictures, decor etc. So here is the "tour of the downstairs...
The dining room
The living room
This is essentially one long room to the left of the front door as you walk in the house.
The kitchen view from the windows at the back of the house.
View to kitchen from doorway into dining room.
Family RoomThe kitchen and family room are open to each other. This is the heart of the house and is where we spend most of our time together. We love this house and feel very blessed to be here. It is wonderful to be so close to church and many church friends and family! I no longer have to drive 30 minutes or more to get anywhere!

oh my goodness! your house is so cute!!!!:-)
I really need to get my lisence so that I can visit your church and everything! I'm so close! all I need is to take the drug class, and then the test! it will be so cool to be able to visit everyone!:-)
I miss you all so much! and I want to see your little girl!!!!
Thanks for posting pictures of your new house. Other than the lack of garage space it does look like the perfect house. I really like the stained wood cabinets in the kitchen. I know that all white kitchens are quite the thing but I love the look of wood (and darker stain vs. lighter). For visting purposes, how close are y'all to 85?
Thanks for the pictures. Being one of the ones too far away for a visit, its great to get a peek. It looks like a great house.
Hey, what happened to your old sofas? or are those slipcovers? Thanks for the Lydia updates, too.
J and K - PLEASE do visit us - we would love to see you guys. From 85 N I would have you get off at Hamilton Mill. We're probably 5 miles off the exit. I like the "look" of this kitchen too. It couldn't be more different than my previous all white kitchen!!
Steph - you're welcome to drop by any time you like. Maybe the girls could play together sometime.
Lisa - Did you recognize your table? It was collecting dust over at Josh and Liz's house, so we brought it here where it will be used =)
Kathy - I wish they were new sofas, but they are the same ones we've always had - no slipcovers.
Jen, you just have to think of these pics as your before pics. After all your labor & decorating, you can post after pictures, and everyone will be even more impressed.
I did recognize it; I'm glad y'all are able to use it.
but weren't your sofas blue and white?
