Update #2

We are very thankful to report that the pediatrician has received results from most of the blood tests, and, so far, they have all come back normal. We are still waiting to hear back on 2 of the tests that have not returned. The pediatrician called me on Tuesday about the tests and I have not heard back (and forgot to call before the office closed on Friday) about the other tests. I'm trying to think positively and take this as a good sign! The tests that came back were the more serious ones, so the ones we're still waiting on are "less serious."
For now, the plan remains to treat and monitor the gall-bladder issue. They'll perform another ultrasound next week to check on progress.
Lauren is still one very fussy baby. Fussy may not even be the right term. I am fairly certain she cries because she is hurting...not for other reasons. I am also starting to wonder if she is allergic to something I am eating. I may begin a food diary for a few days and write down her reactions. Then, perhaps, I will eliminate some things from my diet to see how it goes. The pediatrician said I don't need to do this at this point...but I feel like we're getting a bit desperate here!!! I'm willing to give most anything a try!

We thank God for his mercy, and you for your prayers.

Each boy has reacted to something a little different - peanut butter, chocolate, and with Luke, I think perhaps dairy:( It seems to make him spit more and not rest well. I sure hope you discover quickly what could be affecting Lauren. I know how desperate one becomes when your baby screams in pain and there is nothing that seems to releave it. I will continue praying for you and that the rest of the testing comes back normal!!!

Jen,... thank you for the update. We will keep you all in our daily prayers. I can't even imagine the pain and concern it must bring when such a little tike is so obviously upset or hurting and there is no means of relief. Lord willing, the doctors will be able to find the problem and provide answers quickly!

I'm so glad that some of her tests were ok. I sure hope the rest will be as well. I can't imagine what you must be going through with a hurting baby! How is Lydia handling it all?

I'm so behind on my blog reading. First, let me say congratulatios on your new baby. She is just adorable. Second, I will be praying that there are not any problems and that she will just "outgrow" her fussiness. I have had a fussy baby before and I know how much of a strain that can be on everyone. I just hope that there are not any more serious issues involved. Please keep us updated.
